School is out and summer is in full swing. Summer Camp is up and running with over 35 children registered for a summer of fun. Our goal for the summer is to eliminate their learning loss in math and literacy. We’ll keep them busy learning while they also have a wonderful time of fun and free time. Don’t forget – our Building Blocks Campaign is just started, helping to assure affordable care for all children!
Graduation – Our Future is in Their Hands!
Sixteen amazing young people graduated from our Center on May 24th. All dressed in their caps and gowns, these children are prepared to enter kindergarten. Not only do they know their ABC’s and 123’s, they have also developed a love of learning, a curiosity of endless depth and potential for greatness. Many of these children have been at The Children’s Center since they were infants. We have watched them grow into children of incredible imagination, energy, and wonder. We look forward to seeing them blossom as they begin their formal education years.
4K – What’s That?
All children deserve to have a quality Pre-K experience to ensure they are ready to enter kindergarten. 4K is a comprehensive preschool program for low-income children living in the most rural areas of South Carolina. Qualified children attend this program tuition-free. The Children’s Center offers the only 4K program in Beaufort County, allowing parents who come to Hilton Head for work, the opportunity to have a high-quality program for their child close to where they spend the majority of their day. It’s a Community Asset
We were honored to be recognized recently by Mayor John McCann and WTOC’s Community Champions program. Mayor McCann’s Spring Newsletter and WTOC’s Community Champions video recognize The Children’s Center’s role as a vital component of the economic vitality of our community. We are honored to be a partner and work hard to ensure that we provide a reliable, effective, and responsible service to our community. Providing affordable and high-quality early education and child care to working families in the Lowcountry means parents are able to focus on their jobs and provide the valuable services our Island needs. Thank you to both Mayor McCann and WTOC for recognizing the role we play as a partner in being a part of the solution!
